Bet of the Weekend #2 – Leverkusen vs Paderborn & Northampton vs Macclesfield

They ended the season in great form winning 5 out of their last 6 games and a 4-1 win in the DFB Pokal last week vs Alemmania means that they will be going into the game on a high.

The same cannot be said for Paderborn who sold their star striker and top scorer Phillipp Klement over the summer and have not made any significant signings to be able to compete at the top level. I expect them to really struggle this season and go down comfortably when they play Leverkusen away from home.

Leverkusen are a very aggressive side and with star players Leon Bailey, Kai Havertz and Kevin Holland all set to start, I am very confident of Bayer Leverkusen kicking off their league campaign with 3 points here.

I think this is a situation where we can take advantage of the crisis at Macclesfield and even though Northampton have not had the best of starts to the season with a draw and a loss, I still think they have enough depth in their squad to beat a Macclesfield side who are not known for their away record.

I am going to go safer with 0.0 Asian handicap for Northampton which is the same as draw no bet but better odds.
