Schanzer and Eagles Not to Trouble the Scorers Often

September 19, 2016

Frankfurt have conceded the least shots on target in this year's Bundesliga.

No German Bundesliga side has given up fewer shots in the first three rounds than Ingolstadt and no top-flight team has allowed fewer shots on target than Frankfurt. That Ingolstadt leads the former German Bundesliga statistic despite visiting Bayern Munchen is a remarkable feat.

Ingolstadt preserved its German Bundesliga status last term by being hard to breach and, while it has undergone a change of management during the close season, it looks as though it is going to attempt to do likewise over the coming months.

There had been exactly one goal in each of Frankfurt’s four German Bundesliga games prior to its 2-1 home victory over Leverkusen on Saturday in which all three goals occurred after the 53-minute mark. Punters who had backed under two and a half goals were counting their cash at half time.

Both of last season’s German Bundesliga matches between Ingolstadt and Frankfurt featured two goals and one thinks that their next meeting on Tuesday is highly likely to go under two and a half goals at odds of 1.74Bet €100 to win €17437/50Bet £100 to win £174-135Bet $100 to win $1740.74Bet HK$100 to win HK$174-1.35Bet Rp100 to win Rp1740.7400Bet RM100 to win RM174  with Marathonbet.

Ingolstadt defeated Frankfurt 2-0 at home in last season’s German Bundesliga but the Schanzer did not open the scoring until the 78th minute. The reverse German Bundesliga fixture resulted in a 1-1 draw in spite of Ingolstadt being reduced to 10 men in the 74th minute with the score at that point.

Bayern Munchen has won its six competitive matches across all competitions by an aggregate score of 23-1 but one is willing to kind of oppose the defending German Bundesliga champion when it entertain Hertha on Wednesday.

One toyed with the idea of picking Hertha with a three-goal start but that option is trading well into odds-on territory and, therefore, one has elected to select Bayern Munchen to prevail by either one goal or two goals. Bayern Munchen and Hertha are the only two German Bundesliga sides that have not dropped a single point. One does not expect Hertha to stay the pace but Pal Dardai’s dogged team has not copped many hammerings recently. For example, Hertha has lost just two of its last 54 German Bundesliga games by more than two goals and neither of those instances involved Bayern. Last term’s German Bundesliga head-to-head battles between Bayern and Hertha each ended 2-0 to the Bavarians.

Finally, Mainz has played sufficiently well in its opening three German Bundesliga assignments to warrant favouritism for its away match against awful Bremen on Wednesday.

Bremen is stinking out the German Bundesliga and the German DFB Pokal this season, losing its four games across the two tournaments by an aggregate score of 3-14. Fair enough that Bremen lost heavily at Bayern Munchen and Monchengladbach but falling victim to Sportfreunde Lotte in the German DFB Pokal and earning nothing from its German Bundesliga home match versus Augsburg are not so easy to forgive.

Mainz has dropped only one of its five German Bundesliga, German DFB Pokal and UEFA Europa League and it made Dortmund work for its 2-1 home win in Germany’s top flight last month. Marathonbet is listing odds of 2.51Bet €100 to win €251151/100Bet £100 to win £251+151Bet $100 to win $2511.51Bet HK$100 to win HK$2511.51Bet Rp100 to win Rp251-0.6623Bet RM100 to win RM251  about a Mainz away success over a Bremen side that has Alexander Nouri assuming temporary control after Viktor Skripnik’s sacking.
