NFL Week 15 Betting Tips Teaser: Lions, Ravens, Chiefs

December 17, 2016

Can Stafford lead the Lions to another win?

Week 15 of the NFL season throws up some fascinating matches as the race for the playoffs heats up across the league.

We’ll take a look at five of the best matchups and tell you which sides you should have in your teaser for this weekend’s round of contests.

Detroit Lions @ New York Giants

Both of these sides are in a desperate battle for the playoffs, boasting identical 9-4 records heading into the contest at MetLife Stadium. Due to the form of the Dallas Cowboys, Ben McAdoo’s men find themselves in the fifth seed in the NFC, despite beating their rivals twice over the course of the campaign, including their 10-7 win last week.

New York have to keep the pressure on the Cowboys at the top, but have a tough task on their hands at home to the Lions. Detroit have been extremely strong in the fourth quarter in their contests this season and have come behind to win eight times, highlighted in their late surge to beat the Chicago Bears last week.

The matchup between Giants wideout Odell Beckham Jr and Lions cornerback Darius Slay could well decide the outcome of the game. Should Beckham Jr dominate then the home side could run away with the win, but if Detroit are in the match late they will be confident of victory. As a result, have the Lions in your accumulator at 2.80Bet €100 to win €2809/5Bet £100 to win £280+180Bet $100 to win $2801.80Bet HK$100 to win HK$2801.80Bet Rp100 to win Rp280-0.5556Bet RM100 to win RM280 with TopBet sportsbook.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Baltimore Ravens

Flacco was underwhelming last week

The Ravens were humbled in their defeat to the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football. Although the scoreline 30-23 does not suggest it, John Harbaugh’s men were thoroughly outplayed at Gillette Stadium, requiring special teams’ gaffes from the home side to pose a threat on offense. As a result, Baltimore need a response against the Eagles to get their playoff hopes back on track.

Doug Pederson’s men enjoyed a strong start to the season, but have fallen off due to the struggles of their offense. Rookie Carson Wentz earned a great deal of plaudits for his performances early in the campaign, but the lack of talent around him on the Eagles’ offense has left him exposed. The 23-year-old responded with a decent display in the club’s defeat to the Washington Redskins last week, but don’t hold out too much hope for him against the best defense in the NFL.

Baltimore need a positive result to put the pressure back on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North, and are almost a lock to secure this win at 1.38Bet €100 to win €13819/50Bet £100 to win £138-263Bet $100 to win $1380.38Bet HK$100 to win HK$138-2.63Bet Rp100 to win Rp1380.3800Bet RM100 to win RM138 at M&T Bank Stadium.

Tennessee Titans @ Kansas City Chiefs

Berry wil be crucial against Titans

The Chiefs can take a large stride towards a first-round bye in the playoffs by defeating the Titans at Arrowhead Stadium, although they will need to be wary of the power of the visitors’ running game.

Andy Reid’s men are playing fine complementary football, with their offense and defense working well in tandem, producing three straight-wins over good teams, including two of their AFC West rivals – the Oakland Raiders and the Denver Broncos. As a result of those performances the Chiefs are now top of the division, and have great incentive to brush aside Tennessee at home to close in on their first crown since the 2010 season.

Mike Mularkey’s men were solid enough in their win over the Broncos last week, making a clutch defensive stand at the end of the game. Their offense has been the driving force behind their march towards the playoffs, but at 7-6 their hopes still hang in the balance with the Houston Texans currently leading the AFC South.

Marcus Mariota and DeMarco Murray will need to carry the team to victory against the potent Chiefs defense if they club are to secure their first playoff berth since 2008. However, Reid’s should have enough to see off the challenge due to their talent, backing them at 1.43Bet €100 to win €14343/100Bet £100 to win £143-233Bet $100 to win $1430.43Bet HK$100 to win HK$143-2.33Bet Rp100 to win Rp1430.4300Bet RM100 to win RM143 would be a wise option.

New Orleans Saints @ Arizona Cardinals

Brees can lead Saints to victory

These two sides have little to play this term after struggling for the majority of the campaign, but given the talent on display it will provide a lot of entertainment.

Drew Brees had a disappointing week for the Saints in their defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, throwing three interceptions and zero touchdowns to hand the game to Dirk Koetter’s men. Despite his struggles he may be able to expose the Cardinals defense, who have weaknesses in their secondary behind Patrick Peterson. Brandin Cooks and Willie Snead will need to have big games after sub-par displays against the Bucs and could rack up the yards against the inferior Arizona cornerbacks.

Bruce Arians’ men have fallen off the map this term just 11 months removed from competing in the NFC Championship game. They’ve lacked consistency on both sides of the ball and last week were unable to finish off a Miami Dolphins team robbed of quarterback Ryan Tannehill due to injury. However, there’s still enough talent to put a poor Saints defense to the sword, although Carson Palmer’s up and down form could limit their opportunities.

To improve the overall odds of your accumulator take the Saints to win on the road, with them being backed outright for the win at 2.35Bet €100 to win €23527/20Bet £100 to win £235+135Bet $100 to win $2351.35Bet HK$100 to win HK$2351.35Bet Rp100 to win Rp235-0.7407Bet RM100 to win RM235 with TopBet.

New England Patriots @ Denver Broncos

Can Miller produce again against the Pats?

The Broncos are facing a must-win game against the dominant side in the AFC. Denver have a strong record against the Patriots at home, beating them twice last season, including their 20-18 triumph in the AFC Championship match when Von Miler, DeMarcus Ware and Malik Jackson crushed Tom Brady with 17 hits in their victory. Gary Kubiak and his men will need to put a similar defensive effort due to their struggles on offense, highlighted in their defeat to the Tennessee Titans last week.

New England put a statement down in the AFC Conference by beating the Ravens on Monday night, although the margin of victory could have been greater if not for two costly special teams’ errors. LeGarrette Blount surpassed 1,000 rushing yards for the season in his side’s victory and he will get a heavy workload against the Broncos due to their struggles against the run. Should he have success on the ground, the Patriots should have the game locked up given the space it will open up for Brady.

However, Denver always seems to give Brady trouble as proven by his 2-7 record at Sports Authority Field. As a result, backing Kubiak’s men for a home win at 2.55Bet €100 to win €25531/20Bet £100 to win £255+155Bet $100 to win $2551.55Bet HK$100 to win HK$2551.55Bet Rp100 to win Rp255-0.6452Bet RM100 to win RM255 would make a lot of sense given their desperate situation.
