Werder Trends Support Punt on Both Teams to Score

February 9, 2017

Both teams have scored in 17 of Bremen's 19 games this season.

Both teams have scored in all bar two of Bremen’s 19 German Bundesliga games and one is keen to bet on neither Werder nor its Saturday guest, Monchengladbach, keeping a clean sheet.

Bremen failed to score in its German Bundesliga opener at Bayern Munchen and Werder shut out Hertha in December but, apart from those two matches, it has been one win after another for punters on the highlighted exotic market.

You have to go back to October 2015 for the last time that Bremen failed to score in a German Bundesliga home game and Werder had the excuse of entertaining Bayern Munchen then. Both sides have found the back of the net in 21 of Bremen’s last 22 German Bundesliga home matches, with the odd game out being Werder’s 1-0 victory over Frankfurt in May 2016.

Monchengladbach does not boast statistics to match those of Bremen but no German Bundesliga team does. Monchengladbach has scored in 12 of its 19 German Bundesliga games and both sides have got off the mark nine times. Monchengladbach has relatively poor German Bundesliga away scoring data but the Foals should receive a helping hand from a Bremen defence that has conceded 41 goals in the first 19 rounds. And the reverse German Bundesliga fixture in September resulted in a 4-1 home win for Monchengladbach in which Bremen scored in the 73th minute after trailing the Foals 0-4 at half time.

Fans of head-to-head form will not hesitate to back one’s German Bundesliga headline selection at odds of 1.57Bet €100 to win €15757/100Bet £100 to win £157-175Bet $100 to win $1570.57Bet HK$100 to win HK$157-1.75Bet Rp100 to win Rp1570.5700Bet RM100 to win RM157  with 188Bet and Betfred. – both teams have scored in each of the last four clashes between Bremen and Monchengladbach across all competitions and seven of the last eight. One could not tip the opposite option.

It is a difficult German Bundesliga card from a punting perspective but one can make cases for backing Bayern Munchen and Dortmund on another non-core market.

Bayern Munchen visits Ingolstadt on Saturday and the German Bundesliga leader represents value at odds of 4.50Bet €100 to win €4507/2Bet £100 to win £450+350Bet $100 to win $4503.50Bet HK$100 to win HK$4503.50Bet Rp100 to win Rp450-0.2857Bet RM100 to win RM450  with BetVictor to win the match after being level at half time.

Draw/Bayern Munchen has been the most common result in the nine away German Bundesliga games featuring Carlo Ancelotti’s side so, while one expects the championship frontrunner to maintain its 100 per cent lifetime record versus Ingolstadt, it should not be odds on to lead at both major breaks.

Ingolstadt is in 17th place on the German Bundesliga ladder but the Schanzer are the division’s 14th best first-half team with a 5-5-9 record, including 4-1-4 at home.

Darmstadt is almost nailed on to lose its German Bundesliga status at the end of the season and its most recent home match ended in a humiliating 1-6 loss to Koln. The most common half-time/full-time double result in Darmstadt’s 10 German Bundesliga home games has been draw-loss, occurring three times. With 188Bet offering the attractive odds of 4.50Bet €100 to win €4507/2Bet £100 to win £450+350Bet $100 to win $4503.50Bet HK$100 to win HK$4503.50Bet Rp100 to win Rp450-0.2857Bet RM100 to win RM450  about Darmstadt holding Dortmund until half time on Saturday before giving way to Borussia, that is one’s third and final selection on a tough German Bundesliga program.

Dortmund fans will point out that their side thrashed Darmstadt 6-0 in the reverse German Bundesliga fixture but Borussia did not score its second goal until the 48th minute and the floodgates did not really open until after the Lilies were reduced to 10 men just before the hour mark.
