Bayern to Extend Record Champions League Home Run

February 13, 2017

Bayern Munich have won the last fifteen Champions League home matches.

Bayern Munchen rate as the banker bet on the UEFA Champions League card as the Reds host Arsenal in the first leg of their knockout tie on Wednesday when the event resumes.

Arsenal is third on the English Premier League ladder but the Gunners have lost touch with Chelsea because they have awful numbers against the division’s top teams. Arsenal did defeat Chelsea 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium in September but the Blues avenged that result not long ago and the Gunners are 1-2-4 in their English Premier League matches against fellow top-seven sides. It is seven years since Arsenal reached the UEFA Champions League last eight and Bayern Munchen has eliminated the Gunners at the last-16 stage twice in the last four terms. Bayern is on a record run of 15 consecutive UEFA Champions League home victories and one thinks that the Reds will extend its streak to 16.

A terrific 10-1-0 record over its last 11 matches across all competitions is what Bayern Munchen brings to the table and that is one of the reasons why the Reds are trading at odds of 1.52Bet €100 to win €15213/25Bet £100 to win £152-192Bet $100 to win $1520.52Bet HK$100 to win HK$152-1.92Bet Rp100 to win Rp1520.5200Bet RM100 to win RM152  with Marathonbet to beat Arsenal this week. Bayern has not lost a home game in any tournament this season and the Reds are 18-6-0 in front of their own fans since losing 1-2 to Mainz in a German Bundesliga shock 11 months ago.

Dortmund has not won on the road to a German Bundesliga team positioned higher than 14th on the ladder so one cannot jump into the Black and Yellows at favourite odds away to Benfica on Tuesday. Dortmund has won German Bundesliga road games at Wolfsburg, Hamburg and Bremen but the Black and Yellows are 0-3-3 in their six matches versus the sides ranked second, third, fifth, seventh, ninth and 12th, plus they have not kept a clean sheet on any of their 11 divisional trips.

Benfica leads the way in the Portuguese Primeira Liga in which it is 9-2-0 at home. However, one cannot find the necessary enthusiasm to back Benfica, either. Dortmund defeated Benfica’s Lisbon rival, Sporting, home and away during the UEFA Champions League group stage and the Black and Yellows did likewise to Porto in last season’s UEFA Europa League knockout stage. Just one point splits Benfica and Porto in the Portuguese Primeira Liga this term.

Marathonbet are offering odds of 3.45Bet €100 to win €34549/20Bet £100 to win £345+245Bet $100 to win $3452.45Bet HK$100 to win HK$3452.45Bet Rp100 to win Rp345-0.4082Bet RM100 to win RM345  about Benfica and Dortmund sharing the spoils this week. Benfica will be without Andrija Zivkovic due to suspension.

Paris Saint-Germain star Thiago Motta is another player who will miss this week’s UEFA Champions League action so one is picking PSG’s guest, Barcelona to score two or more goals on Tuesday at odds of 2.00Bet €100 to win €2001/1Bet £100 to win £200+100Bet $100 to win $2001.00Bet HK$100 to win HK$2001.00Bet Rp100 to win Rp2001.0000Bet RM100 to win RM200  with Coral.

Motta is Paris Saint-Germain’s key defensive midfielder and PSG have not not won of their four French Ligue 1 home games versus fellow top-six teams, failing to keep a clean sheet in any of their five divisional matches against fellow top-five sides, regardless of venue. Barcelona has scored in 37 of its 39 competitive games this season, finding the back of the net in each of its 20 away matches, scoring two or more goals in 12 of its road fixtures. Barcelona has faced Paris Saint-Germain in three recent UEFA Champions League tournaments, bagging at least a double in five of their half-a-dozen meetings since April 2013 – including a 3-1 win on their last visit to Paris.
