Chisnall and Lewis to Rack up the Maximums in Belfast

April 20, 2017

Adrian Lewis hit a sensational nine dart finish in Liverpool last week.

Adrian Lewis produced a stunning nine-dart finish in Liverpool last week, as he wrote his name into the Premier League history books. Almost exactly a year after he hit a nine-darter in Belfast, he became just the third player to hit multiple nine-dart finishes in the Premier League alongside Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld.

The Premier League returns to the scene of Jackpot’s first perfect game as the top darts stars descend on Belfast for night twelve. Dave Chisnall and Phil Taylor will double up on the night, and both are in need of points to sustain a play off challenge. Chizzy faces a tough match in the opener against Adrian Lewis, while Taylor will meet Gary Anderson in the following match before the pair meet later in the evening.

Chisnall has found a little bit of form and secured a point from a draw with Anderson last week in Liverpool, but he remains bottom of the pile with just eight points to his name. He’ll be targeting four points as he meets the two Stoke legends Taylor and Lewis, but his play off hopes may be slipping away. Michael van Gerwen and Peter Wight also played out a draw last week, but the Dutchman was in fine form over the weekend as he won the HappyBet German Darts Masters, and he’s a warm order to get revenge on compatriot van Barneveld for March’s Premier League defeat. Wright continues to hold second position despite back-to-back draws, and he is also worthy of favouritism when he lines up against James Wade on Thursday night.

Dave Chisnall v Adrian Lewis

Our first bet is in the maximums market, where over 8.5 180’s is 2.24Bet €100 to win €22431/25Bet £100 to win £224+124Bet $100 to win $2241.24Bet HK$100 to win HK$2241.24Bet Rp100 to win Rp224-0.8065Bet RM100 to win RM224  with Marathonbet when Chisnall and Lewis take to the stage in the opener.

Lewis threw six 180’s in total during his 7-4 defeat of van Barneveld, in which the nine-darter came. He averaged over 111 and is in excellent form at the moment after back-to-back Premier League wins. Overall he’s hit 37 maximums this season, and can continue the good work while he’s in such hot form.

Chisnall has hit 15 180’s in his last two Premier League games, both of which have ended in draws. He’s also hit 43 maximums for the season. Both players will come out firing for the first match of the night, and are a decent bet to land more than 8.5 180’s between them.

Peter Wright v James Wade

Peter Wright can be backed at 1.57Bet €100 to win €15757/100Bet £100 to win £157-175Bet $100 to win $1570.57Bet HK$100 to win HK$157-1.75Bet Rp100 to win Rp1570.5700Bet RM100 to win RM157  with Paddy Power and Betfair to claim two points when he takes on James Wade.

Wade secured a vital win last week when he beat Phil Taylor 7-5, but it wasn’t a high quality match with both players averaging less than 100. The left-hander took advantage of a poor night for Taylor, but he still has four points to make up to get into play off contention.

Wright was swept away by Anderson’s 113+ average in a 7-2 defeat last week, but earlier he had given van Gerwen a scare in a 6-6 draw. Snakebite could have beaten the number one after racing into 4-0 and 5-1 leads, but the Dutchman dragged himself back into the game to snatch a point.

Wright continues to post better averages than Wade and has hit twice as many 180’s this season. This looks a good opportunity for him to consolidate his play off spot.

Michael van Gerwen v Raymond van Barneveld

Michael van Gerwen bounced back from a poor performance last week to win the German Darts Masters over the weekend and he’s taken to continue in that vein at 1.40Bet €100 to win €1402/5Bet £100 to win £140-250Bet $100 to win $1400.40Bet HK$100 to win HK$140-2.50Bet Rp100 to win Rp1400.4000Bet RM100 to win RM140  with Betfair and Bwin against van Barneveld.

Mighty Mike hit 100+ averages in all five games over the weekend – including a win over Barney – and revenge is also on the cards. Van Barneveld beat van Gerwen 7-5 in Manchester in March, the world number one’s only loss of this Premier League season. But MVG is taken to spoil Barney’s birthday by taking the two points here and stretching his lead at the top of the table.
