Goddess to Make Most of Drop in Class in Serie A

September 9, 2017

Atalanta can kickstart their season on Sunday in Serie A.

Atalanta is in the Italian Serie A relegation zone after two rounds but the Goddess have been unlucky to face a couple of title contenders and they played well against them.

First up, Atalanta hosted Roma and came out on the wrong side of a 0-1 Italian Serie A scoreline. However, Atalanta had 16 attempts to Roma’s half a dozen and the Goddess led the corner-kick count 4-1 so the result was unkind to them. Last time out, Atalanta visited Napoli and lost 1-3 but the Goddess had four more attempts than the Partenopei so, yet again, the outcome did not line up with the game itself.

To use horse racing parlance, Atalanta drops in class this weekend when it entertains Sassuolo on Sunday in the third round of Italian Serie A matches. Sassuolo has failed to score in either of its Italian Serie A games, drawing 0-0 with Genoa before losing 0-3 at Torino. Atalanta derived four points from its two Italian Serie A clashes against Sassuolo last season and not since April 2014 have the Goddess experienced defeat versus the Black and Greens.

Atalanta was last term’s Italian Serie A surprise package and the Goddess is going to struggle to match last season’s finishing position with their remodelled squad but they are attractively priced at odds of 1.60Bet €100 to win €1603/5Bet £100 to win £160-167Bet $100 to win $1600.60Bet HK$100 to win HK$160-1.67Bet Rp100 to win Rp1600.6000Bet RM100 to win RM160  with William Hill and Unibet to kickstart their campaign with a home win over Sassuolo.

A combination of collateral form this term and head-to-head form last season means that Cagliari warrants support to take out its Italian Serie A game versus Crotone on Sunday.

Milan has encountered both Cagliari and Crotone in what is a quirk of this term’s Italian Serie A fixture list – the Red and Blacks beat the Red and Blues 2-1 at home and they were three unanswered goals too good for the Pythagoreans on the road. Those Italian Serie A collateral form lines are basic but clearly they rate Cagliari much better than Crotone.

Additionally, Cagliari pocketed six points from its Italian Serie A clashes against Crotone last season – the Red and Blues won 2-1 away in October and 2-1 at home in February.

Cagliari, which was a great 9-1-0 at home to Italian Serie A sides that finished 10th or lower on last term’s ladder, is available at odds of 1.73Bet €100 to win €17373/100Bet £100 to win £173-137Bet $100 to win $1730.73Bet HK$100 to win HK$173-1.37Bet Rp100 to win Rp1730.7300Bet RM100 to win RM173  with BetStars to win this weekend.

Note: Saturday’s fixture between Sampdoria and Roma has been postponed due to adverse weather conditions.
