Cardinals, Vikings, Patriots To Win In Week Two

September 15, 2017

The NFL provided a number of surprising results in the first week of the campaign and that will be no different as we gear up for week two.

The New England Patriots were stunned at home by the Kansas City Chiefs, while the Cincinnati Bengals were shut out on home soil by the Baltimore Ravens.

The Oakland Raiders highlighted their quality with an impressive win and the Detroit Lions proved they will not be a flash in pan.

We’ll now break down which sides should be in your accumulator for the second week of the campaign.

Arizona Cardinals @ Indianapolis Colts

The Cardinals were below-par against the Lions after initially taking an early lead in the contest. However, Carson Palmer’s problems at the quarterback position persisted, while they’ve since lost star running back David Johnson for three months.

Their defense could not hold up against Matt Stafford, resulting in their defeat. Bruce Arians’ men do get a present in the form of the Colts to get off the mark this term.

Indianapolis were truly putrid in their hammering at the hands of the Los Angeles Rams. Head coach Chuck Pagano even congratulated the wrong team on the win in his post-match press conference. Without Andrew Luck Scott Tolzien was pressed into action and he threw two pick-sixes.

The Colts’ defense was not much better as Jared Goff was able to pass with ease downfield. Jacoby Brissett made a minor impact after replacing Tolzien, but cannot be expected to start just 10 days removed from his move to the club.

Arizona should be able to put Indianapolis to the sword on the road even with their issues. Larry Fitzgerald and company should pose too many problems. Therefore back them at 1.32Bet €100 to win €1328/25Bet £100 to win £132-313Bet $100 to win $1320.32Bet HK$100 to win HK$132-3.13Bet Rp100 to win Rp1320.3200Bet RM100 to win RM132  with TopBet sportsbook to claim the victory at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Minnesota Vikings @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Bradford will be eyeing another win

These two sides earned victories in week one, although the Steelers were not overly convincing. Pittsburgh overcame the Browns but were far from their best against their rivals and rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer, claiming only a narrow win.

Antonio Brown picked up where he left off in the last campaign with a 180-yard performance off 11 receptions. Roethlisberger threw two touchdowns to Jesse James, although he lacked his usual vigour in his usual triumph over the Browns.

The Vikings destroyed the New Orleans Saints in their opener. Sam Bradford had arguably the best display of his career as he picked apart the Saints’ defense with ease. Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen had strong outings, while rookie Dalvin Cook broke a record held by Adrian Peterson on his debut.

Minnesota boast one of the best defenses in the NFL, with a fearsome pass-rush and lockdown secondary. Everson Griffen and Danielle Hunter are quarterback hunters, while Xavier Rhodes and Harrison Smith keep things tight at the back.

They held Drew Brees in check for the majority of their clash, especially in the redzone, expect them to continue against Roethlisberger. The Vikings are good value at 3.25Bet €100 to win €3259/4Bet £100 to win £325+225Bet $100 to win $3252.25Bet HK$100 to win HK$3252.25Bet Rp100 to win Rp325-0.4444Bet RM100 to win RM325  with Unibet to beat the Steelers on the road.

New England Patriots @ New Orleans Saints

The Patriots were humbled in their opener against the Chiefs. The defending Super Bowl champions dropped their new banner, but their defense was blown apart by Alex Smith, Tyreek Hill and rookie Kareem Hunt.

New England conceded the most points in Bill Belichick’s 17-year tenure at the club along with 532 yards. Tom Brady was far from his best as he completed just 46% of his passes, while numerous misfires allowed the Chiefs to claim a comfortable win.

The Saints suffered as well in their opener as they were cut apart with ease by Bradford. Their youthful secondary was victimised by the veteran quarterback as Diggs and Thielen found space with ease down the field.

Brees tried to drag his team back into the contest, but he was held in check by the Vikings’ defense. Peterson’s return to his former club did not go to plan and he made sure the coaching staff knew how he unhappy he was about that fact.

The clash at the Superdome could be a high-scoring affair as both quarterbacks will bounce back. However, Brady will enjoy the same success as Bradford did on Monday night to guide his team over the line. Backing the Patriots at 1.40Bet €100 to win €1402/5Bet £100 to win £140-250Bet $100 to win $1400.40Bet HK$100 to win HK$140-2.50Bet Rp100 to win Rp1400.4000Bet RM100 to win RM140  with SkyBet is the option to take and to pile into the accumulator.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Kansas City Chiefs

Smith was outstanding last week

Kansas City defied the odds in the opener to hammer the Patriots. Not many people would have backed Andy’s Reid’s men to go into Foxborough and emerge victorious. Smith, Hunt and Hill were outstanding on offense, while the defense made plays when needed to close out the win.

The only downside was the loss of All-Pro safety Eric Berry for the season with a torn Achilles. He helped close down Rob Gronkowski and his injury could be a huge factor in deciding the race for the AFC crown. However, the Chiefs still have enough quality to mount a successful season without him.

The Eagles had a slice of luck to overcome the Washington Redskins. Fletcher Cox’s late touchdown was certainly an incomplete pass rather than a fumble, but was not overturned on review. Doug Pederson’s men were still good value for their win as Carson Wentz impressed at FedEx Field.

The development of Wentz will be a crucial aspect of Philadelphia’s season. Should he rise to the occasion then they could challenge at the top of the NFC East. However, he will have to continue to play well even against quality teams such as the Chiefs.

That could be beyond him as Reid knows the Eagles’ system extremely well. Therefore back the Chiefs for the win in your accumulator and at odds of 1.44Bet €100 to win €14411/25Bet £100 to win £144-227Bet $100 to win $1440.44Bet HK$100 to win HK$144-2.27Bet Rp100 to win Rp1440.4400Bet RM100 to win RM144  with Marathon Bet.

New York Jets @ Oakland Raiders

The Raiders put in an impressive performance in their opener to justify their claim as one of the NFL’s leading teams.  Jack Del Rio’s men overcame the Tennessee Titans on the road, holding their offense to just 16 points. Meanwhile, Derek Carr and company were deadly in the redzone, with the aid of running back Marshawn Lynch in crucial situations.

They’re handed a favourable matchup in their home opener as the Jets come to town. The Raiders are a club that seemingly have everything going for them. Todd Bowles’ men on the other hand are in the same situation Oakland were before the arrivals of Carr and Khalil Mack.

New York did not disgrace themselves in their defeat to the Buffalo Bills on the opening day. However, their lack of quality was evident, especially on offense, where they struggled to put points on the board. That will be the case for the entire campaign and why some have suggested that 0-16 is not beyond the club this season

The Raiders should have no problem moving to 2-0 in this contest and could even surpass the 40-point on Sunday in the Coliseum. Back them at odds of 1.14Bet €100 to win €1147/50Bet £100 to win £114-714Bet $100 to win $1140.14Bet HK$100 to win HK$114-7.14Bet Rp100 to win Rp1140.1400Bet RM100 to win RM114  with 888Sport and be sure to have them in your accumulator.
