Mbappe to Get Among the Goals Again for PSG

September 22, 2017

Mbappe has scored in two of PSG's last three games.

It’s a full on weekend of domestic football across the European continent, and we’ve got our usual round up of the best bets in all of the top leagues. France’s Ligue 1 is already taking a familiar shape with PSG clear at the top after winning their first six games of the season. Monaco come next with five from six, but the expected challenges of Lyon. Marseille and Nice are so far falling short of the mark.

The captures of Neymar and Mbappe over the summer have shown that PSG mean business this season, not only in reclaiming the French title from Monaco, but also in their efforts to win the Champions League. Both players have hit the ground running and complete a formidable forward line that also includes Cavani and Draxler. The Parisian club are short order to bag another three points away at Montpellier on Saturday, and there could be a bit more value in the goalscorer markets.

Of the chasing pack in the French league, Nice appear to have got their act back together after a poor start to the campaign. Hopes of reaching the group stages of the Champions League were dashed by a play off defeat to Napoli, but once that issue was decided the club have been able to refocus. A resounding 4-0 win over Monaco kick-started a run of three wins in a row and they are a good bet to keep the momentum going with victory at home to Angers on Friday evening.

Monaco also play on Friday evening as they visit a struggling Lille side, and they will want to put that humiliating reverse to Nice behind them. A draw with Leipzig in the Champions League and a win over Ligue 1 new-boys Strasbourg have put Monaco back on track, and nothing less than three points on Friday night will do as they attempt to keep pace with PSG’s allstars at the top of the table.

Montpellier v PSG

Mbappe is 1.90Bet €100 to win €1909/10Bet £100 to win £190-111Bet $100 to win $1900.90Bet HK$100 to win HK$190-1.11Bet Rp100 to win Rp1900.9000Bet RM100 to win RM190  with Winner Sports to find the net at anytime during this match, and those are odds worth taking about the French prodigy.

PSG beat Lyon 2-0 last time out with two own goals in the second half, but hit five in both games prior to that. Mbappe was on target in the 5-1 demolition of Metz and the 5-0 thrashing of Celtic in the Champions League – both games away from home. Overall, they’ve hit a very impressive 21 goals in six games and another big scoreline would come as no great surprise. Mbappe is the most natural finisher of a generation in French football, and has blistering pace to boot. With Neymar pulling the strings, the young maverick can expect to have chance after chance put in front of him this season, and will score in more games than not.

Montpellier are mid-table in the league this season and have won twice, but they are yet to face any of the ‘big’ clubs. The claimed three points with a 1-0 win at Troyes in the last round of fixtures, but had lost three of the previous four games. It’s a thankless task for most teams coming up against PSG in the French league, and this is expected to be another comfortable win for the side which stands head and shoulders above the rest of Ligue 1.

Nice v Angers

Nice can continue their recent revival with a win over Angers, odds of 1.91Bet €100 to win €19191/100Bet £100 to win £191-110Bet $100 to win $1910.91Bet HK$100 to win HK$191-1.10Bet Rp100 to win Rp1910.9100Bet RM100 to win RM191  with Marathonbet the best on offer.

The 4-0 win over Monaco confounded the recent form of both sides, and it also saw Mario Balotelli score a brace. The controversial figure appears to have found last seasons form again, as he went on to score in the 5-1 Europa League trip to Waragem and bagged the only goal of the game in last week’s 1-0 win at Rennes.

Angers are winless in four games and only have one victory to their name so far in the league. They’ve also only lost once, and overall have a good away profile. Angers can cause problems and make this difficult for Nice, but the side that finished in last season’s top four are backed to come out on top on home soil.

Lille v Monaco

Monaco are on their travels later on Friday evening at Lille, but are fancied to come away with the points at 1.75Bet €100 to win €1753/4Bet £100 to win £175-133Bet $100 to win $1750.75Bet HK$100 to win HK$175-1.33Bet Rp100 to win Rp1750.7500Bet RM100 to win RM175  with Coral and Betway.

The only points dropped by Monaco this season are the three they gave up in the 4-0 shock defeat to Nice. Five wins from six is not at all bad form for a side which has sold so many star players over the summer, and so far they are proving up to the task of reshaping the squad. Monaco won 4-1 here last term and another victory may be on the cards.

Lille have struggled so far this season and haven’t won since the opening day of the campaign. They are one place above the bottom three and could be in danger of getting sucked into a relegation battle. Lille have scored just once in their last five games, and the last two at home have seen them lose 2-0 to Caen and draw 0-0 with Bordeaux. Monaco should have too much going forward for Lille, but the home side may not have the firepower to respond.
