Unwanted La Liga History Beckons for Anchovies

September 22, 2017

Malaga have had their worst ever start to a La Liga season.

Malaga has made its worst-ever start to a Spanish Primera Division season and one thinks that the Anchovies are set for more misery when they host Athletic on Saturday.

Diego Gonzalez netted Malaga’s only goal in its first five Spanish Primera Division matches and it came in his team’s 1-3 home loss to 12th-placed Las Palmas. Malaga has lost its Spanish Primera Division games to Eibar, Girona, Atletico Madrid and Valencia without scoring a goal in those matches and morale is so low that Anchovies captain Recio has gone public in saying that the club has been a circus since the latter stages of last term – that is quite some sledge.

Athletic has lost each of its last two Spanish Primera Division games but, thanks to the league’s fixture list, it is relatively straightforward to line up the Lions and Malaga and reach the conclusion that this weekend’s visitors are superior to the Anchovies. Athletic and Malaga have tested themselves versus four of the same Spanish Primera Division opponents and, according to one’s collateral form analysis, the Lions hold a 3-0-1 edge over the Anchovies.

Last season’s corresponding Spanish Primera Division fixture resulted in a 1-2 loss for Athletic but the Lions led when they were reduced to 10 men in the 36th minute and it took until the 82nd minute for Malaga to equalise and then snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Athletic made amends for its Spanish Primera Division loss at Malaga when it pipped the Anchovies 1-0 in Bilbao courtesy of a penalty kick.

Marathonbet is offering odds of 2.62Bet €100 to win €26281/50Bet £100 to win £262+162Bet $100 to win $2621.62Bet HK$100 to win HK$2621.62Bet Rp100 to win Rp262-0.6173Bet RM100 to win RM262  about Athletic getting back to winning ways and that rates as the best bet on the Spanish Primera Division card, just ahead of Betis to beat Levante and Valencia to get something out of Sociedad.

Betis is likely to be popular at odds of 1.85Bet €100 to win €18517/20Bet £100 to win £185-118Bet $100 to win $1850.85Bet HK$100 to win HK$185-1.18Bet Rp100 to win Rp1850.8500Bet RM100 to win RM185  with Bet365 to follow its Spanish Primera Division win at Real Madrid with a home success over recently promoted Levante on Monday.

Levante managed a 1-1 Spanish Primera Division draw at Real Madrid but Betis went one better than that in midweek to save the bacon of bookmakers all around the world – the upset would have killed millions of accumulators.

Betis is 2-0-0 at home in the Spanish Primera Division and, according to one’s collateral form analysis, the Green and Whites enjoy a 2-0-1 lead over Levante. One is going to trust that data and overlook Levante’s Spanish Primera Division unbeaten record which, after all, features four home matches and one away game, albeit at Real Madrid.

Valencia has lost 10 of its last 12 meetings with Sociedad across all competitions but the Bats rate well against La Real based on what has happened this term and one fancies them not to lose at odds of 1.69Bet €100 to win €16969/100Bet £100 to win £169-145Bet $100 to win $1690.69Bet HK$100 to win HK$169-1.45Bet Rp100 to win Rp1690.6900Bet RM100 to win RM169  with 188Bet. According to one’s Spanish Primera Division collateral form analysis, Valencia boasts a 2-0-0 advantage over Sociedad and La Real’s defence must be reshuffled due to Diego Llorente’s suspension as a result of his midweek sending off. The Spanish Primera Division teams against which Valencia has outperformed Sociedad are Real Madrid and Levante and the Bats have done much better than La Real in those clashes. Valencia are also in good heart after the 5-0 win over Malaga in midweek.
