Patriots, Browns, Eagles All To Rack Up Victories In Week Three

September 22, 2017

Week three of the NFL season began as the Los Angeles Rams defeated the San Francisco 49ers in a thrilling contest.

The Rams edged out their NFC West rivals by two points on the road to move to 2-1 in their season.

They move to the top of their division for now, while the battles across the rest of the league re-ignite on Sunday.

We’ll now break down the teams across the NFL that should be in your teaser for week three.

Cleveland Browns @ Indianapolis Colts

It’s time for the Browns to show that their rebuilding process is beginning to bear fruit. The club have been committed to the process since Sashi Brown and Paul DePodesta arrived in Cleveland.

However, their 1-15 record last season has put pressure on them this term to prove they’re moving in the right direction. Hue Jackson does not have a huge amount of talent to overcome the issues, which was made worse by Deshone Kizer’s migraine last week.

They travel to face the Indianapolis Colts, who might actually be worse than the Browns. Jacoby Brissett had an up-and-down first start, while there have been criticisms of the receiving corp for their attitudes on the field.

Chuck Pagano’s men have to prove they can win without Andrew Luck. They won’t get many better opportunities this season and there is a feeling a loss could call time on the coach’s tenure at the club.

The running game has to fire against the Browns, with pressure on Frank Gore and Marlon Mack to thrive. Cleveland’s offense is a wildcard – if Kizer can make a couple of big plays downfield it could be enough to secure the victory.

Take Jackson’s men in your teaser and on a single bet at odds of 1.80Bet €100 to win €1804/5Bet £100 to win £180-125Bet $100 to win $1800.80Bet HK$100 to win HK$180-1.25Bet Rp100 to win Rp1800.8000Bet RM100 to win RM180 with Bovada sportsbook.

Denver Broncos @ Buffalo Bills

Taylor needs a strong outing

To improve your value on the teaser we need to take a gamble on a team not favoured this week. The Bills are that team, despite their defeat at the hands of the Carolina Panthers last time out.

Sean McDermott’s men have battled well in their opening two matches of the season. The club were accused of tanking the 2017 season due to streamlining their roster in the final weeks of training camp. However, their defense – at the least – has come to play at the start of the campaign. Buffalo have conceded 21 points in their opening two matches, but need their offense to spark.

Denver are coming into the game fresh off an impressive home win over the Dallas Cowboys. The Broncos dominated the NFC East outfit from start-to-finish. Quarterback Trevor Siemian threw four touchdown passes, while the defense shutdown Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott.

The AFC West team are not the same team away from Mile High Stadium. Vance Joseph has enjoyed an excellent start to his career in Denver, and it will be intriguing to see whether that trend continues under his tenure.

The Bills could find life and have LeSean McCoy – so take them in your teaser and in a single bet at odds of 2.49Bet €100 to win €249149/100Bet £100 to win £249+149Bet $100 to win $2491.49Bet HK$100 to win HK$2491.49Bet Rp100 to win Rp249-0.6711Bet RM100 to win RM249  with Marathon Bet.

Houston Texans @ New England Patriots

The Patriots bounced back after their stunning loss in week one to the Kansas City by hammering the New Orleans Saints. Tom Brady was outstanding, cutting apart the Saints’ horrific defense with ease, passing for 300 yards and three touchdowns in the first half alone.

The 40-year-old dispelled any notion that his side would struggle without Julian Edelman. The Patriots’ defense was good enough to stop Drew Brees responding, guiding their side to their opening win of the term.

Bill Belichick’s men now have to kick into gear on home soil. The Texans did give them a rough ride in the playoffs last season for the first half at least before New England pulled away.

Jadeveon Clowney and Whitney Mercilus were influential in that contest even without JJ Watt. With Watt restored to the line-up they need a stronger performance to stop Brady. The trio are yet to record a sack this season and that will have to change at Gillette Stadium to secure the road win.

DeShaun Watson delivered a solid outing against the Cincinnati Bengals to secure his first win as a starter. His rushing touchdown was the pivotal score in the contest, but he will have to raise his game against the Patriots.

Belichick is 8-0 at home against rookie quarterbacks – therefore put the Pats in your teaser as your home banker. Back them with a single bet at odds of 1.10Bet €100 to win €1101/10Bet £100 to win £110-1000Bet $100 to win $1100.10Bet HK$100 to win HK$110-10.00Bet Rp100 to win Rp1100.1000Bet RM100 to win RM110  with BetOnline.

New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles

Wentz can put New York to the sword

The Giants would have had aspirations of building off their post-season berth last season. However, their performances in the opening two matches of the season have been putrid. Ben McAdoo is starting the feel the pressure and his side cannot afford to drop to 0-3 against the Eagles.

Philadelphia played well in their opener to defeat the Washington Redskins before being outclassed on the road by the Kansas City Chiefs. Carson Wentz has made strides in his development this season, but are still issues to resolve on offense.

Defensively the Eagles have been solid on the defensive line, but they can be exposed in the secondary. Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham and Derek Barnett should be able to feat on the Giants’ offensive line, especially Ereck Flowers, who was given a torrid time by the Detroit Lions.

McAdoo called out quarterback Eli Manning during his press conference. The 36-year-old needs to improve significantly to get his team out of the hole they’ve dug themselves. Unless Odell Beckham Jr can put on a clinic they will not beat the Eagles.

Take Philadelphia in your teaser along with a single bet at odds of 1.37Bet €100 to win €13737/100Bet £100 to win £137-270Bet $100 to win $1370.37Bet HK$100 to win HK$137-2.70Bet Rp100 to win Rp1370.3700Bet RM100 to win RM137  with Bet365.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings were brilliant in the opening week of the season, defeating the Saints with ease. However, quarterback Sam Bradford suffered a knee injury before his side’s clash against the Pittsburgh Steelers that will rule him out again against the Buccaneers.

In his absence the Vikings were unable to compete with the Steelers as backup Case Keenum struggled. Mike Zimmer’s men have a strong defense, but against the strong offensive units in the NFL they need at least a threat at the quarterback position.

After missing the opening the week of the season due to Hurricane Irma, the Bucs blew away the Chicago Bears on home soil. Jameis Winston put points on the board with ease as he connected with Mike Evans for a strike and Jacquizz Rodgers found the endzone.

The defense was also strong, putting Mike Glennon under pressure. Robert McClain returned an interception for a touchdown, while Noah Spence notched a sack. They should continue to dominate against Keenum, which should allow the club to move to 2-0.

Therefore take the Bucs in your teaser and on a single bet of 2.25Bet €100 to win €2255/4Bet £100 to win £225+125Bet $100 to win $2251.25Bet HK$100 to win HK$2251.25Bet Rp100 to win Rp225-0.8000Bet RM100 to win RM225  with Ladbrokes.
