Leganes to Draw at Sevilla for Second Successive Season

October 25, 2017

Leganes are riding high in 5th place in La Liga.

There is a sound statistical argument for opposing Sevilla in its Spanish Primera Division home match against Leganes on Saturday in the 10th round of championship games.

Sevilla is below Leganes on the Spanish Primera Division ladder and rightly so given how the two teams have fared versus the same sides in league action. Atletico Madrid, Athletic, Espanyol, Getafe, Girona, Eibar, Las Palmas and Malaga have each encountered Sevilla and Leganes in Spanish Primera Division matches and, according to one’s collateral form analysis, the White and Reds trail the Cucumber Growers 3-0-5. Sevilla has an imposing home record dating back many seasons but the White and Reds are far too short in the betting market for their Spanish Primera Division game versus a Leganes team that is 3-0-1 on its travels.

Backing Leganes to earn a draw from its Spanish Primera Division match at Sevilla is the value play at 4.00Bet €100 to win €4003/1Bet £100 to win £400+300Bet $100 to win $4003.00Bet HK$100 to win HK$4003.00Bet Rp100 to win Rp400-0.3333Bet RM100 to win RM400  with BetVictor. Last term’s corresponding Spanish Primera Division fixture ended 1-1 after Leganes opened the scoring in the third minute and Sevilla equalised a couple of minutes before half time.

Less ambitious are one’s other Spanish Primera Division selections, which are Barcelona to win at Athletic on Saturday and Valencia to prevail at Alaves on the same day.

Barcelona leads the way in Spanish Primera Division by four points and, given the relatively low number of truly taxing matches for the league’s heavyweights, the gaps that Barca have established over Valencia, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are significant. Barcelona has scored 26 goals and conceded just three in its nine Spanish Primera Division games, winning eight of them and drawing at Atletico.

According to one’s Spanish Primera Division collateral form analysis, Barcelona enjoys a 6-0-0 lead over Athletic based on their respective results against Atletico Madrid, Getafe, Girona, Eibar, Las Palmas and Malaga. One is a bit concerned that five of the six Spanish Primera Division sides that both Barcelona and Athletic have encountered are ranked lower than 13th on the ladder but a sample size of six opponents represents almost one-third of the competition.

Barcelona has won seven of its last eight matches versus Athletic across all tournaments and Barca are strung together eight consecutive Spanish Primera Division victories against the Lions. So, with all sorts of statistical indicators supporting Barcelona, one is including Barca in one’s Spanish Primera Division picks at 1.50Bet €100 to win €1501/2Bet £100 to win £150-200Bet $100 to win $1500.50Bet HK$100 to win HK$150-2.00Bet Rp100 to win Rp1500.5000Bet RM100 to win RM150  with BetVictor.

Valencia has been the success story of the Spanish Primera Division season so far, a far cry from last term that was a disaster for the Bats. Being out of both of the UEFA club competitions has enabled Valencia to focus on its domestic engagements and the Bats are 6-3-0 in the Spanish Primera Division, including draws at home to Atletico Madrid and, more impressively, away to Real Madrid.

Alaves is enduring a nightmare Spanish Primera Division campaign having lost eight of its nine games. Real Madrid, Betis, Sociedad and Levante are the four Spanish Primera Division teams with which both Valencia and Alaves have battled and, according to one’s collateral form analysis, the Bats hold a 3-0-1 edge over the Babazorros.

Valencia and Alaves shared the spoils in last term’s Spanish Primera Division clashes, each winning its home match. But Valencia is much stronger this season than it was last term, whereas the opposite is true of Alaves. Valencia has won six games in a row across all tournaments and the Bats are worth supporting at odds-on quotes of 1.62Bet €100 to win €16231/50Bet £100 to win £162-161Bet $100 to win $1620.62Bet HK$100 to win HK$162-1.61Bet Rp100 to win Rp1620.6200Bet RM100 to win RM162  with 888Sport to make it seven on the bounce.
