Bengals, Patriots, Saints All To Win In Week Eight

October 27, 2017

We’re almost at the half-way point of the NFL season and the playoff picture is beginning to take shape in both Conferences.

The cream has started to rise to the top as the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots control the AFC. However, the NFC has been more surprising with the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams sitting in good positions.

Week eight of the campaign should provide an enthralling round of matches, with the battle for control of respective division reaching a vital stage.

Indianapolis Colts @ Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals’ recovery in the 2017 season was ended by the Steelers last week. Marvin Lewis’ men lost their opening three matches of the season, but bounced back with two-straight wins over the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills.

However, their AFC North rivals got the better of them at Heinz Field, with Cincinnati struggling to hold Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell in check. The Bengals get the opportunity to bounce back against the Colts, who were embarrassed by the Jacksonville Jaguars last time out.

Indianapolis’ offensive line wilted under pressure from the Jaguars. Geno Atkins can lead a similar destruction for the Bengals to limit Jacoby Brissett and the Colts’ offense once again.

Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton has been up and down this term. AJ Green and their receiving corps should be able to capitalise on the Colts’ secondary, who will be without outstanding rookie Malik Hooker for the rest of the season.

Expect the Bengals to ease to a comfortable victory on home soil. Back them at odds of 1.20Bet €100 to win €1201/5Bet £100 to win £120-500Bet $100 to win $1200.20Bet HK$100 to win HK$120-5.00Bet Rp100 to win Rp1200.2000Bet RM100 to win RM120  with BetOnline and in your teaser.

Los Angeles Chargers @ New England Patriots

Brady will need a special effort

The Patriots found their form on the defensive side of the ball in the rematch of Super Bowl LI last week. New England’s defense held the Falcons’ in check for the majority of the contest, allowing just seven points in the contest to guide their side to a comfortable win.

However, they’ve been handed a huge blow by the news that Dont’a Hightower could be ruled out for the season with a torn pectoral muscle. The 27-year-old has been the club’s key cog in the middle of the unit; and without him the Patriots’ already vulnerable defense could be exposed.

Tom Brady remained his consistent self against the Falcons. He will take his game to an even higher level to atone for the loss of one of his side’s defensive stars.

The Chargers have come to life over the past three weeks, pulling themselves back into contention in the AFC West. Their defense dominated the Denver Broncos last week, shutting them out on home soil. Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram were a constant presence around Trevor Siemian and will be looking to torment Brady in a similar way.

Los Angeles’ offense has been hit and miss, but will be aiming to capitalise on playing the Patriots without Hightower. It could open up space in the running game and passing game for Philip Rivers to exploit.

However, Brady and company are a tough prospect to overcome at Gillette Stadium. Therefore back New England at odds of 1.29Bet €100 to win €12929/100Bet £100 to win £129-345Bet $100 to win $1290.29Bet HK$100 to win HK$129-3.45Bet Rp100 to win Rp1290.2900Bet RM100 to win RM129  with BetOnline.

Chicago Bears @ New Orleans Saints

The Saints capitalised on Aaron Rodgers’ absence last week to defeat the Green Bay Packers on the road. The defense made life difficult for Brett Hundley in his first NFL start, although the Packers were able to put 14 points on the board.

Defensively, New Orleans have been criticised for their defensive play over the past few seasons, but in the current campaign they’ve found a semblance of form. Cameron Jordan and Alex Okafor have been on form rushing the passer, combining for eight sacks between them.

The secondary have improved greatly with the addition of Marshon Lattimore in the 2017 Draft. He has been lockdown on his side of the field and is mounting a charge for Defensive Rookie of the Year. Ken Crawley and Kenny Vaccaro have also been on form to protect the deep area of the field.

The Bears have been plucky this term and their defense tormented Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers to produce a strong win on home soil. Mitchell Trubisky has offered a spark to the offense, while Jordan Howard has developed into one of the finest running backs in the NFL.

However, they’re not at the stage yet to go toe-to-toe with Drew Brees. As a result, back the Saints at 1.25Bet €100 to win €1251/4Bet £100 to win £125-400Bet $100 to win $1250.25Bet HK$100 to win HK$125-4.00Bet Rp100 to win Rp1250.2500Bet RM100 to win RM125  with BetOnline.

Carolina Panthers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Kuechly will make a timely return

The Panthers put a shocking performance on the road against the Bears last week. The inconsistency of Newton and Carolina’s offense has been on display for all to see. Just weeks after putting 33 points on the Patriots on the road, they managed only three against the Bears.

Ron Rivera’s men are facing a crossroads in the campaign as they’ve lost back-to-back matches. The Panthers have dropped from 4-1 to 4-3 due to their defeats to the Eagles and the Bears, and are in a dire need of a response against the Buccaneers.

Luke Kuechly could make a welcome return from a concussion, solidifying with the middle of the defense. Carolina have felt the impact of his absence in the last two matches and should their offense continue to sputter, the Panthers will need to take the points off the board.

The Bucs are in a heap of trouble and are also in dire need of a victory to end a run of three-straight losses. There has been discord in the camp, with TJ Ward and Chris Baker complaining about the lack of playing time.

Jameis Winston almost brought his side back into their match against the Bills. He connected with OJ Howard twice and Mike Evans, only for the defense to allow Buffalo to snatch the victory
The Panthers are slightly more talented than their NFC South rivals and could spring a surprise on the road at odds of 2.10Bet €100 to win €21011/10Bet £100 to win £210+110Bet $100 to win $2101.10Bet HK$100 to win HK$2101.10Bet Rp100 to win Rp210-0.9091Bet RM100 to win RM210  with ComeOn.

Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Redskins

The Cowboys piled on the agony for the San Francisco 49ers in week seven, hammering the Bay Area outfit on the road. Jason Garrett’s men pulled back to 3-3 in their season and have a chance to put themselves back in contention in the NFC East with a win over the Redskins.

Ezekiel Elliott was outstanding at Levi’s Stadium, rushing for 147 yards and two touchdowns, while he took his only catch of the game 72 yards for a score. His form is vital for the club along with his availability throughout the season due to his ongoing battle with the NFL in court.

Elliott has been granted permission to play this week and will be looking for another strong performance. Dak Prescott enjoyed a resurgence since his shocking peformance against the Denver Broncos in week two. He has thrown 11 touchdowns to two interceptions since and could expose an injury-riddled Redskins secondary.

Washington were outplayed by the Eagles on Monday and cannot afford another defeat in the NFC East. Kirk Cousins was not quite at his best, while the running game was ineffective.

Unless Cousins is on song the Redskins will be heading towards a loss on home soil. Therefore back Dallas for the win at odds of 1.83Bet €100 to win €18383/100Bet £100 to win £183-120Bet $100 to win $1830.83Bet HK$100 to win HK$183-1.20Bet Rp100 to win Rp1830.8300Bet RM100 to win RM183  with 888Sport.
