Lions, Packers, Bills All To Win In NFL Week 11

November 16, 2017

Week 11 of the NFL season throws up a series of important matches, with teams almost reaching desperation in their bid for the playoffs.

Only four out of the 32 teams are all but certain that they’re out of the running, including the winless Cleveland Browns, who suffered another devastating loss last week.

The Philadelphia Eagles return to action following their bye week. The club have control of the NFC Conference, but need to maintain their form until the end of the term.

The AFC Conference is wide open as there are several sides in the running for the top two seeds. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots hold position now, but face challenging fixtures.

We’ll now break down the four teams you should have in your teaser this week.

Detroit Lions @ Chicago Bears

The Lions were put in an uncomfortable position last time out against the Browns. Cleveland established a 10-point lead in the contest, but Detroit managed to compose themselves to secure the victory on home soil. Jim Caldwell’s men upped the ante in the second half to take the game away from the Browns, keeping them in the playoff hunt in the NFC.

Detroit are 5-4 in their campaign, two games behind the Minnesota Vikings at the top of the NFC North. The Lions have to keep winning to raise the pressure on their rivals. Matt Stafford overcame an early interception against the Browns to guide his side to the victory. He has been up and down this term, but could shred the Bears’ defense if he’s on peak form.

Chicago had the opportunity to break back into the race in the NFC North. However, their defeat at the hands of the Packers last time out has doomed the club. John Fox has to keep his players motivated until the end of the season otherwise his position could be put in jeopardy with a late collapse. Stafford has the weapons to carve open Chicago – therefore back the Lions at odds of 1.67Bet €100 to win €16767/100Bet £100 to win £167-149Bet $100 to win $1670.67Bet HK$100 to win HK$167-1.49Bet Rp100 to win Rp1670.6700Bet RM100 to win RM167  with Betway.

Baltimore Ravens @ Green Bay Packers

The Packers found life for the first time since Aaron Rodgers’ injury, with Brett Hundley delivering a crucial win over the Bears. Hundley connected with Davante Adams in the endzone in the fourth quarter to secure the victory by a narrow margin. The 24-year-old had struggled in his previous outings, but after the bye week he made significant improvements in his game.

Hundley has a strong receiving corps to ease the pressure off his shoulders, and he displayed signs of developing a rapport with Adams last week. It will be more important for the quarterback this week to lean on his wideouts due to running back Aaron Jones’ injury. However, Hundley will be tested by the quality of the Ravens’ defense.

Baltimore come into the week fresh off their bye. For all the progress the Ravens made in their hammering of the Miami Dolphins, they slumped back to their old ways against the Tennessee Titans. The defense has been solid and has the opportunity to limit an inexperienced quarterback. However, on home soil, Hundley should enough to secure the win, while the Packers’ defense will be able to hold a woeful Baltimore offense in check. Take Green Bay at odds of 2.10Bet €100 to win €21011/10Bet £100 to win £210+110Bet $100 to win $2101.10Bet HK$100 to win HK$2101.10Bet Rp100 to win Rp210-0.9091Bet RM100 to win RM210  with Betway.

Buffalo Bills @ Los Angeles Chargers

Peterman will make his first NFL start

The Bills have hit a slump at the worst time of the season, but are still in contention at 5-4 in the campaign. Nathan Peterman has been given the nod to start at quarterback after Tyrod Taylor was benched following his side’s hammering at the hands of the New Orleans Saints. Peterman will be making his first start, having been selected in the fifth round of the 2017 Draft. He played in relief of Taylor last time out and threw his first touchdown, but will face a stern test against the Chargers.

Los Angeles somehow managed to lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jags quarterback Blake Bortles threw two interceptions in the final two minutes of the game to all but doom his team. However, conservative play-calling along with a penalty against Joey Bosa allowed the Jags to send the game into overtime where they edged the contest. Anthony Lynn’s men are in last-chance saloon at 3-6, but do have the talent to torment Peterman.

The contest will be decided on how the Chargers defend LeSean McCoy. They’re the worst team in the NFL against the run and if they allow McCoy to take charge of the match – it will end poorly for Los Angeles. That’s the way it has been going for the Chargers this season – therefore back the Bills to snatch the win on the road at 2.65Bet €100 to win €26533/20Bet £100 to win £265+165Bet $100 to win $2651.65Bet HK$100 to win HK$2651.65Bet Rp100 to win Rp265-0.6061Bet RM100 to win RM265  with Betway.

New England Patriots @ Oakland Raiders

This clash will take place in Mexico City – the final of the NFL’s overseas fixtures. High altitude could play an important factor with the Estadio Azteca being 7200ft above sea level, therefore it’s crucial both teams are well conditioned. The Patriots come into the contest fresh off their hammering of the Denver Broncos. The Super Bowl LI champions are rounding into form after a sluggish start to the season and at 7-2 are beginning to look the class of the AFC again.

Tom Brady was flawless in his side’s triumph last week, while the defense held the Broncos under 17 points. New England have held their last five opponents below the 17-point mark, bouncing back from their horrendous start to the campaign. Derek Carr and the Raiders’ offense will test their abilities, but another strong outing will confirm that Bill Belichick’s men are making another Super Bowl run.

The Raiders have been up and down throughout the campaign. They come into the contest fresh off their bye week and a win over the Pats could kickstart a surge down the stretch. Carr, Amari Cooper and Jared Cook can expose Belichick’s defense, but whether they can put enough points on the board to cope with Brady is another matter. Oakland have been a mess on defense, and unless they improve significantly, they will not be able to hold up against Brady. Take the Patriots at odds of 1.34Bet €100 to win €13417/50Bet £100 to win £134-294Bet $100 to win $1340.34Bet HK$100 to win HK$134-2.94Bet Rp100 to win Rp1340.3400Bet RM100 to win RM134  with BetOnline.
