England To Claim Victory In Second ODI

England won their first match against Australia of their tour down under by claiming victory in the opening one-day international of the series.

England’s Top Batsman

Roy took his game to a new level with a simply astonishing innings in the opener. He took the match by the scruff of the neck and dragged England to a dominant victory. The 27-year-old did have his moments of fortune. However, the Australia bowlers had no answer to his power and placement before he took his team to the brink of victory.

Roy smashed several records, including taking England’s highest ODI score away from Hales. Australia’s Top Bowler

The Aussies underwhelmed with the ball in Melbourne. Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins were not quite at their best, while Adam Zampa was thrashed around the ground. The leg-spinner conceded 72 runs from his 10 overs as he failed to provide the containment that Nathan Lyon excelled at during the Test series. Rashid returned to the fold after missing the Test series and displayed his prowess with ball in hand, dismissing Smith.
