India To Clinch ODI Series At Lord’s?

India put forward a dominating performance to defeat England in the opening one-day international of the series at Trent Bridge.

Sharma was outstanding once again in the middle for India. He found his range in the final T20 match of the series, blasting his century at Bristol. The 31-year-old carried his form into the opening ODI, taking command of England’s quick bowlers to power his side over the line.

He reached his 18th century in the 50-over format off just 82 deliveries. Sharma played the anchor role to perfection aided by his power at the crease as he was able to elevate the level of his scoring towards the end of the innings. The opener finished unbeaten on 137 as England had no answer for his play the crease.

Kohli too was in fine form, knocking the ball around the ground with ease. He was able to pick his moments when to find the boundary. The India skipper will have been disappointed to lose his wicket when he was stumped off Adil Rashid for 75. However, expect him to be on top form at Lord’s once again.
