Houston, Baltimore, Indianapolis All To Win NFL Week 13

November 30, 2018

Week 13 of the NFL season throws up a number of interesting games, with teams beginning the desperate clamber for the playoff spots.

The Dallas Cowboys have already pulled off a fine performance this week, earning a fine win over the New Orleans Saints to break up the NFC Conference rankings.

We’ll now break down the five teams that you should have in your teaser for his weekend’s round of matches.

Will the Texans win their ninth-straight game?

Cleveland Browns @ Houston Texans

The Texans are on a roll, reeling off eight wins on the bounce. Bill O’Brien was under huge pressure when his side dropped to 0-3 at the start of the campaign. Their response has been emphatic and the club are making a real push to secure a first-round bye in the post-season. Houston are in control of the AFC South, holding a two-game lead over the Indianapolis Colts, but they cannot afford to rest on their laurels. The Texans have not been outstanding in their winning run, with their win over the Tennessee Titans last time out perhaps being their most impressive triumph.

They’ve done enough each week to keep churning out wins and that’s all that matters at this stage of the season. Deshaun Watson has improved every week and appears to be close to the quarterback that took the league by storm last season before his injury. The defense has slowly improved as well, with JJ Watt rediscovering his peak form. Houston face a Cleveland side that is not the Browns of old. Baker Mayfield continued his fine rookie season with a four-touchdown demolition of the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns’ defense is stout, featuring a lot of the talent. However, the Texans should have enough to claim the win on home soil at odds of 1.39Bet €100 to win €13939/100Bet £100 to win £139-256Bet $100 to win $1390.39Bet HK$100 to win HK$139-2.56Bet Rp100 to win Rp1390.3900Bet RM100 to win RM139  with TopBet.

Baltimore Ravens @ Atlanta Falcons

The Ravens appear to have made a choice about their future. Joe Flacco’s injured hip has thrust Lamar Jackson into the starting role. Baltimore’s offense has become more threatening with the 21-year-old at quarterback due to his duel-threat – running as well as passing the ball downfield. Jackson has won his first two starts, although both came against weak opposition in the form of the Bengals and Oakland Raiders. Gus Edwards has emerged in the running game, producing over 100 rushing yards in back-to-back matches. If the Ravens’ offense can continue to score in the region of 25 points and over then their defense has the quality to put the clamps on their opposition.

At 6-5, they can put the pressure on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North with a win. Atlanta’s season looks to be at an end, suffering their third defeat on the bounce last time out. It has not been their year from the off after their failed redzone chance against the Philadelphia Eagles in the opener. Between their inconsistency and injuries on defense, Dan Quinn and his team may be looking forward to the off-season to rebuild the roster. Although the Ravens are on the road, back them for the win at odds of 2.10Bet €100 to win €21011/10Bet £100 to win £210+110Bet $100 to win $2101.10Bet HK$100 to win HK$2101.10Bet Rp100 to win Rp210-0.9091Bet RM100 to win RM210  with BetOnline.

Indianapolis Colts @ Jacksonville Jaguars

The Colts and the Jaguars are trending in opposite directions. At the start of the season, the Jaguars would have had hopes of securing a playoff spot for the second campaign on the bounce. Doug Marrone’s men made a good start to the term, winning their opening two matches, but have lost eight out of nine since. Their collapse has resulted in the benching of Blake Bortles and the firing of offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. The Jaguars will have go through another rebuild and are vulnerable as their season has little meaning.

Indianapolis on the other hand have gone from strength-to-strength during the season. They had a slow start to the campaign, but have put themselves in contention for a playoff berth due to the play of Andrew Luck. The quarterback has been outstanding and he guided them to their fifth win in a row, leading a comeback victory over the Miami Dolphins. Frank Reich’s men are 6-5 in their campaign and well in the race for a Wildcard in the playoffs. As long as Luck continues to operate at an elite level then the Colts are going to keep on winning, especially against poor teams. Back them for the win at odds of 1.48Bet €100 to win €14812/25Bet £100 to win £148-208Bet $100 to win $1480.48Bet HK$100 to win HK$148-2.08Bet Rp100 to win Rp1480.4800Bet RM100 to win RM148  with BetOnline.

Carolina Panthers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Panthers are in huge danger of blowing their season. Carolina were in position to make a run at the playoffs when they defeated the Buccaneers in their first matchup last month. Since then the club have lost three games on the bounce to drop to 6-5 in their campaign. They remain in contention for a Wildcard berth, but their hopes of playing at home in the post-season are over. Their last two defeats have been particularly damaging, losing late in the game to the Detroit Lions and again at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks.

Cam Newton and his offense have been good enough, but the performances of the defense have been alarming. It might be up to Newton and company to carry the team into the playoffs. Tampa Bay capitalised on a poor San Francisco 49ers team to secure their fourth win of the campaign. Dirk Koetter’s men remain underwhelming on the field and will have to produce a special performance to defeat the Panthers at home. Back the Panthers to get their season back on track at odds of 1.57Bet €100 to win €15757/100Bet £100 to win £157-175Bet $100 to win $1570.57Bet HK$100 to win HK$157-1.75Bet Rp100 to win Rp1570.5700Bet RM100 to win RM157  with Bovada.

Buffalo Bills @ Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins paid the price for their cautious approach against the Colts last week. Adam Gase opted to run the ball on a third down play and failed to get the 10 yards required. It allowed Luck to drive his team downfield to snatch a comeback win for Indianapolis, giving the AFC South outfit the edge in a potential tie-breaker between the two teams.

Miami are almost out of the running for the AFC East crown, needing favours from other teams to overhaul the New England Patriots. It’s vital that they keep up the pressure on the teams around in the race for the Wildcard spots. With Ryan Tannehill and plays from their defense, they proved they can make plays, but need to do it on a more consistent basis to reach the post-season.

Buffalo put forward a fine performance last week to see off the Jaguars. The game turned on a brawl between Leonard Fournette and Shaq Lawson. Both players were ejected, but the momentum that had been with Jacksonville swung in Buffalo’s favour. The Bills used it with Josh Allen pulling the strings to record a fine win. Miami are not a great side, but have the talent to see off the Bills at home. Lose it and they’re certainly out of the playoffs therefore back Gase’s side at odds of 1.53Bet €100 to win €15353/100Bet £100 to win £153-189Bet $100 to win $1530.53Bet HK$100 to win HK$153-1.89Bet Rp100 to win Rp1530.5300Bet RM100 to win RM153 with Bovada.
